What counts as a message
A message is a visitor message the assistant answers, counted per calendar month across all your sites. Your own test questions in the portal do not count. Messages between a visitor and a person on your team are not answered by the assistant, so they do not count.
What a paid plan adds
Plans differ only in size: answered messages a month, websites, pages read per website, team seats, how often the site is re-read on its own (every month on Free, every week on paid plans), and whether the "Powered by" link can be removed.

An answered message is a visitor message the assistant answers. A question it declines as off topic counts, because the assistant read it and replied. A message our side failed to answer does not count, and neither do your test questions in the portal or messages a person on your team answers.
What happens when I reach my monthly limit?
The assistant stops answering until the first of the next month. The inbox, human handoff and lead capture keep working, and nothing is billed automatically. A bigger plan, or a message pack of 2,000 more messages at $10 a month, lifts the limit.
Can I change plans?
Yes, up or down at any time, from your account or by writing to support@aichatforwebsite.com.
Is there a contract?
